libcurl3-dbg software package provides debugging symbols for libcurl (OpenSSL, GnuTLS and NSS flavours), you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libcurl3-dbg
libcurl3-dbg is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libcurl3-dbg package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libcurl3-dbg *
You will get with libcurl3-dbg package name, version, architecture and description in a table
